DarkSquare ("DarkSquare", "we", "us", or "our") is operated by an individual based in Texas, United States. This policy explains what information the DarkSquare website (darksquare.dev) collects, why, how it is handled, and the choices and rights you have.
Information We Collect
- Contact form. When you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide. Submissions are processed and delivered to us by Web3Forms.
- Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. Authentication is handled by Supabase.
- Anti-spam. The contact form uses hCaptcha to distinguish humans from bots. hCaptcha may collect information about your interaction with the challenge and your IP address.
- Local storage. We store a single preference in your browser
(
ds-theme) to remember your light/dark theme choice. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not run analytics or third-party tracking scripts.
We do not knowingly collect "sensitive" personal data (such as government IDs, health, biometric, or precise geolocation data); please do not send such information through the contact form.
How We Use Information
- To respond to your inquiries submitted through the contact form.
- To create and manage your account and sign you in.
- To protect the site and form from spam and abuse.
- To remember your display preferences.
Legal Bases (EU / UK Visitors)
Where the GDPR applies, we process your data on these bases: your consent (when you submit the contact form), performance of a contract (to provide an account you request), and our legitimate interests (to secure the site against spam and abuse). You may withdraw consent at any time.
Third-Party Processors & International Transfers
We rely on the following service providers, each with its own privacy policy:
- Web3Forms — contact form delivery.
- Supabase — authentication and account storage.
- hCaptcha — bot protection.
These providers and our hosting (Vercel, Cloudflare) are based in or process data in the United States. If you access the site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell or share your personal data, and we do not use it for targeted advertising or for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Data Retention
Contact messages are retained as long as needed to respond to and document your inquiry. Account data is retained for the life of your account. You can request deletion at any time (see "Your Privacy Rights").
Your Privacy Rights
We honor the rights below for all visitors, regardless of where you live.
Texas Residents (TDPSA)
Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, you may: confirm whether we process your personal data and access it; correct inaccuracies; delete it; obtain a portable copy; and opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or certain profiling. We do none of those last three, but you may still exercise the opt-out. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision; if an appeal is denied you may contact the Texas Attorney General.
California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
You may request to know, access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing." We do not sell or share personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
EU / UK Residents (GDPR)
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or portability of your data, and may object to certain processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
How to Exercise Your Rights
Email darksquare.ai@gmail.com or use the contact form. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally within 45 days). We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Children's Privacy
DarkSquare is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Data Security
We use reputable providers and serve all traffic over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
